Lanaittu - Tiscali - Supramonte
Week-end in Oliena
Day 1: Arrival early afternoon and accommodation in our hotel. Visit to Oliena city centre and the handicraft laboratory of goldsmith's art. Typical dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2:
Option 1: breakfast and departure by all-terrain vehicle to Mount Corrasi. Visit to a typical pane carasau bakery. The excursion to Su Gologone springs is followed by a guided tour to the LANAITTU Valley. This woody valley, with its Su Bentu and Sa Oche caves - inside you can find numerous small underground lakes - is an excellent example of "karst phenomena". After this excursion, it is either possible to have an outdoor picnic or a typical lunch at our restaurant.
Option 2: breakfast and visit to a typical "carasau bread" bakery. The excursion to Su Gologone springs is followed by a guided tour to the LANAITTU Valley. This woody valley, with its Su Bentu and Sa Oche caves - inside you can find numerous small underground lakes - is an excellent example of "karst phenomena". The tour moves on to the CARROS VILLAGE or, alternatively, to the TISCALI mountain (518), one of the most evocative places of the Supramonte. It is a very interesting limestone mountain the inside of which has kept the remains of a Nuraghic village, with quadrangular huts and round, tower-shaped buildings. After this excursion, it is either possible to have an outdoor picnic or a typical lunch at our restaurant.
Upon request, it is possible to arrange special speleological excursions in the area.
