Farm and Vine-Growing and Wine-Producing Sardinia - Italy |
The “Murighessa” wine is a tasty and harmonic combining of red-berry grapes, coming from six different old native vines, cultivated by the farm “Stazzo di Ladas”, in the S-E slope of Mount Limbara, on sunny hills, at the heart of the rocky Gallura, between 350 and 500 m sea-level.
Wine temperature: 16÷18 °C
Room temperature: 18÷20 °C
Alcohol: 12% volume
Appearance: ruby-garnet, intense and clear.
Fragrance: of fine quality, fragrant. The wine has a scent of ripe fruits such as plums and mulberries with herb spreadings tending to dry hay. On raising temperature up to 20°C you feel the smell of sorbs and underwood.
Taste: dry, tasty, rightly tannic, gentle, full-bodied, well-balanced and intense, persistent, of fine quality. It points out the tendency to sweetish taste.
Combinations: according to temperature, better if under 18°C, it goes well with different food: meat (beef, mutton and goat), especially fat, grilled or on the spit. Also it goes with sweetbread cooked over charcoal, richly-seasoned first courses, ripe goat’s and ewe’s cheese, also strong and, if still tender, grilled.
